East Kentwood 2019 DT Mazi Smith is taking Official Visit to Big 10 program this weekend (Story)

East Kentwood 2019 DT Mazi Smith will be the first Michigan High School prospect to utilize the new NCAA rule allowing recruits to take Official Visits heading into their senior year from April 1 through the Sunday before the last Wednesday in June of the same year.

This rule was glaring to many as it was a part of the NCAA's much more publicized decision to have an Early Signing Day.

Most Division 1 prospects commit before or during camp season of their senior year as a majority of Division 1 recruits visit colleges their, Freshman and Sophomore year anyways.

Penn State is 1 of 21 schools to offer the 3-sport athlete.
