The D Zone GLIAC Recap: Ferris State beats Findlay 24-23

The D Zone GLIAC Recap highlights Michigan HS graduates:

Ferris State without the reigning Harlon Hill Trophy winner, Jayru Campbell (Cass Tech) defeated Findlay 24-23 in week 1.

West Catholic graduate, Travis Russell was 15/24 for 228 yards and 1 TD while while rushing 11 times for 61 yards and 1 TD. Williamston grad, Sy Barnett continues to be one of the best WR's in all of D-II. He finished with 3 catches for 87 yards and 1 TD.

South Christian graduate, Sam Heyboer led the FSU Bulldogs with 10 tackles.

For the Oilers of Findlay, Bloomfield Hills graduate Derek Lynch had 4 kick returns for 89 yards and Cranbrook DB Marqis Stokes had 2 tackles.

Jayru is expected to return next week as he is recovering from off-season surgery.
